St. Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award
Brolin Cozzolino - April 2026

The SJE CCW is pleased to announce the April 2026 recipient of the St. Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award. This award is presented quarterly to an outstanding young member of our parish community. This quarter’s recipient is Brolin Cozzolino.
Brolin is the oldest of three children of Dean and Diona Cozzolino. In 2021, his family moved from Madison, Alabama to Viera, and they began attending St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community. As an eighth grader, Brolin was excited to become part of the SJE altar server program, having served the previous five years in Alabama.
Brolin is now a high school senior and has been faithfully serving our parish for the last five years, usually for the 4:30 p.m. Sunday Mass. He has had the privilege of serving for many bishops, priests, and deacons, and he became a lead altar server in early 2022 to help train the younger children. Brolin has also served our community as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for the past nine months, one of three fellow teens who became EMHCs while still in high school. In addition, Brolin has been a fifth-grade catechist for the past three years, serving initially as an assistant and currently as lead for this year’s class. He appreciates the opportunity to enlighten and strengthen the connection between God and the next generation of the Church.
In high school, Brolin has regularly tutored younger students in all subjects, particularly math and history, and also served as the Viera High School Football Equipment Manager. In addition, he worked as the Viera Charter School Backstage Manager for their musical theater program, preparing the actors for their shows. Brolin has volunteered extensively throughout our community and enjoys helping in any way he can.
Next year, Brolin will be attending the University of Alabama where he will be working for the football team. He plans to be an active member of the Saban Catholic Student Center and attend church in Tuscaloosa, prioritizing his faith as an important part of his life.
Brolin is honored to be a member of St. John’s and is well-deserving of this month’s St. Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award!
Johnathan Naghdi - January 2026

The SJE CCW is pleased to announce the January 2026 recipient of the St. Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award, presented quarterly to an outstanding young member of our parish community.
This quarter’s recipient is Johnathan Naghdi.
Jonathan Naghdi is the youngest of five children of Robert and Kimberly Naghdi. He has four older sisters. His family moved from Indiana to Florida when he was in the fourth grade and began attending St. John the Evangelist. He was excited when asked to become an altar server before starting fifth grade.
Jonathan is now a college freshman and has been faithfully serving at the 7:15 Mass for the last eight years. He has had the privilege of serving with many holy priests, deacons, and altar servers. He became a lead altar server last year and appreciates helping and training the younger children. Even if his family is out of town or attends a different weekend Mass, Jonathan volunteers to serve at 7:15.
In high school, Jonathan regularly tutored younger students in math and spent time assisting at the thrift store. He helped organize a basketball event at the local elementary school as well as volunteered at their fundraising events, chaperoned students on trips, and assisted with back-to-school kindergarten prep. He continues to help elderly neighbors with projects and parish events like Trunk or Treat, food packing, and setting up for various functions.
Jonathan is honored to be a member of St. John’s!
Keyana M. Lauzon - September 2025

St. John the Evangelist Council of Catholic Women, in conjunction with our pastor and spiritual advisor Fr John Britto, has established the “Saint Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award”. Blessed Carlo Acutis will be the first Millennial Saint when he is canonized on September 7th. Carlo faithfully used his gift of website design to evangelize the world through his website, documenting Eucharistic Miracles and Marion Apparitions. Although he died at the young age of 15 of Leukemia, his short life is an inspiration for our young people.
We are blessed at St. John the Evangelist with an abundance of youth who exemplify the servant leadership modeled by Saint Carlo Acutis. The “Saint Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award” recognizes these young people. The recipients of this award, to be given quarterly, are parish children, age 18 or under, who exemplify a life of Christian virtue and servant leadership in our parish.
We are pleased to announce that Keyana M. Lauzon has been chosen as the first recipient of the St Carlo Acutis Youth Service Award. Keyana was raised by her grandparents who themselves are faith-filled parishioners. She is currently a college freshman. She has a long history of service to our parish as a Lead Altar Server, Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister. Her evangelization and service has also reached beyond our parish through the founding of a Food Service Club that supports needy members of our community. Keyana is a worthy role model for the youth and adults in our parish. Congratulations Keyana!
